From its origins as a pocket-sized shooter, Helion is finally making its way to the PC/Mac platform!

Helion HD retains the arcade gaming spirit of the original game, while upping the ante on visuals. Now featuring high-resolution textures, sprites, particle effects and material shaders, as well as a massively overhauled player character, Helion HD will be a treat for the eyes.

Helion HD uses the PC-standard mouse + keyboard input scheme as default, enabling quick movement and accurate aiming. Alternative input schemes are also being considered at this point.

Featuring 15 levels and many enemies (including some brand-new challenges), Helion HD will constantly test your skill along the way. And while adept players will be able to get through the game with the basic ion particle beam, there will be several fun powerups to dish out some extra damage along the way.

In addition to the upgraded visuals, the original soundtrack and sound effects will be presented in high fidelity audio, making a grand accompaniment as you battle your way to the finish. Helion HD is scheduled to go into beta very shortly, so stay tuned...
